ASSAM

Assam is a state in northeastern India known for its wildlife, archeological sites and tea plantations. In the west, Guwahati, Assam’s largest city, features silk bazaars and the hilltop Kamakhya Temple. Umananda Temple sits on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra river. The state capital, Dispur, is a suburb of Guwahati. The ancient pilgrimage site of Hajo and Madan Kamdev, the ruins of a temple complex, lie nearby.

Capital of Assam is DISPUR.

It has an area of 30,285 mi² with population of 30.94 million as on 2012.

Assam is known for Assam tea and Assam silk. 

Asia's First oil well was drilled here. 
The state has conserved the one-horned Indian rhinoceros from near extinction, along with the wild water buffalo, pygmy hog, tiger and various species of Asiatic birds. 
It provides one of the last wild habitats for the Asian elephant. 
Its economy rich with  wildlife tourism, centred around Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park which areWorld Heritage Sites.
Sal tree forests are found in the state, which as a result of abundant rainfall looks green all year round. 
It has continues history of  heavy rainfall in monsoon.This rain feeds the Brahmaputra River, whose tributaries and oxbow lakes provide the region with a hydro-geomorphic and aesthetic environment.

Andhra Pradesh was founded on October 1, 1953.

Andhra Pradesh is a state bordering India’s southeastern coast. Tropical forests, rivers, hills and caves make it a popular ecotourism destination. Beaches line the Bay of Bengal, offering spots for swimming and surfing. Major cultural landmarks include Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, an ornate hilltop shrine to Hindu’s Vishnu, in the southern part of the state. It’s visited by tens of millions of pilgrims annually.

It has an area of  61,855 mi²  with population of 49,665,533 as on 2011.

Capital of Andhra Pradesh is AMRAVATHI as splitting of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh on June 2014.
